About OMC
Ozarks Medical Center, a 114-bed, not-for-profit medical referral center serving an 11-county area in south central Missouri and north central Arkansas with its main facility located in West Plains. With 23 rural and specialty clinics, OMC meets the complete needs of the surrounding communities and clinics.
Our full-service hospital facility includes a 12-bed ICU, an 11-bed cardiac step-down unit and a brand new, state-of-the-art 16-bed Emergency Department. OMC has a fully accredited sleep lab, an excellent hospitalist team and a growing cardiac program that offers 24/7 interventional cardiology, cardiac diagnostic and surgical procedures and rehabilitation treatment.
The health care organization employs approximately 1,200 people and serves a population base of 180,000. With more than 100 doctors, OMC has a strong core of primary care physicians as well as numerous specialists, including a nephrologist, psychiatrists, neurosurgeon, neurologist, oncologist, radiation oncologist, interventional cardiologist, cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons.
OMC is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
