MDS COORDINATOR-PART TIME
Do you want to apply your knowledge and skills in nursing care to help ensure quality care and accurate assessments are given to geriatric residents? We are looking for an experienced nurse who has:
- Advanced knowlege in geriatric care
- At least two years of nursing experience
- A deep understanding of resident assessments, and applicable regulations and practices
- A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic
The successful MDS Coordinator will coordinate and assist with completion and submission of accurate, timely, and full assessments of residents. He/she will submit assessments according to government/insurance standards, review Final Validation Reports to ensure all assessments are accepted, and coordinate with the Business Office to guarantee accurate and timely billing.
The MDS Coordinator will work with the lead MDS Coordinator, the facility DON/ADONs, and other staff to monitor residents for significant changes in condition. MDS staff will also assist with reviews of Comprehensive Care Plans and changes to those plans, and provide education to direct care staff on those changes.
MDS Coordinators must have the following licensure:
Curent Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license
