About the Job
Windwave Communications is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable heavy equipment mechanic to join the Windwave team! Experience with various types of heavy equipment is preferred, as the mechanic will be expected to perform preventative, predictive, and scheduled maintenance on the expanding fleet.
Duties:
- Diagnostics and repair of heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and pickups.
- Working on various heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and pickups.
- Compile detailed work orders upon completion of repair.
- Field repairs and in-shop repairs.
- Preventative maintenance (oil changes, greasing, power washing).
- Hydraulic, cylinder, pump, and valve rebuilds.
Note: All major tools, hand tools, and toolboxes are provided by the employer.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- 4+ years experience as a heavy-duty mechanic.
- Ability to diagnose and repair.
- Fabrication, welding, and cutting skills.
- Ability to operate the equipment.
- Ability to perform Cat ET diagnostics.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel during the week.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Must be able to demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to take direction and take initiative.
- Pass pre-employment drug testing and random testing.
- Pass pre-employment background check.
- Basic computer skills.

Experience:
- Mechanic: 4 year (Required).
License/Certification:
- CDL (preferred).
