Suburban Contractors LLC is seeking a Diesel/Equipment Mechanic to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of diesel components, be skilled at diagnosing and solving mechanical issues, and be committed to safety and compliance. This role involves maintaining crucial systems, such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and steering. You will work full-time, and overtime is often available.

- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, and other heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and steering.
- Diagnose and repair air compressors with a capacity ranging from 375 to 1600 CFM/ is preferred but not required.
- Basic welding skills/is preferred but not required.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Track system components and ensure they are in compliance with established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Collaborate with the service manager or supervisor to ensure all work is completed on time and meets safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients regarding vehicle or equipment status.
- Uphold safety standards in all repair and maintenance processes.
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license (Required).
- CDL (Preferred but not required).
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components (Required).
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify mechanical and electrical issues (Required).
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 150 pounds (Required).
- Proficient with repair and maintenance tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
