Job Summary:

• Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts
• Salary: $18-25/hour (based on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine trailer inspections in the inspection bay
• Perform monthly tractor inspections and minor preventive maintenance on tractors
• Handle preventive maintenance on trailers and tire repairs (certification required)
• Understand refrigeration unit basics and basic electrical systems on equipment
• Operate company vehicles within the terminal (DOT regulations apply)
• Ensure work is done efficiently, safely, and professionally adhering to all OSHA, DOT, and company policies
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as building maintenance, snow removal, and yard upkeep

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions including around moving equipment
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must supply personal hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
• Ability to operate all shop equipment and vehicles per DOT regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Paccar systems (preferred but not required)
• Class A CDL (desired but not required)
• 1 year of diesel engine repair and mechanical knowledge (preferred)
