Responsibilities
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
Skills
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication skills
- A problem-solving ability
Applicant must be willing and able to learn a variety of tasks, work indoors and outdoors, be able to lift 75-100 lbs., be dependable, able to work Saturdays, and possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Work location may be at our Tacoma, South Hill Puyallup, or Downtown Puyallup locations. Salary may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience..

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair rental equipment and vehicles. Duties include but are not limited to performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, from landscape equipment to large construction equipment; experience with small engines, gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, some fabricating and fleet vehicles; inspecting work to ensure repairs and replacement have been completed correctly; maintaining a safe and clean workspace; and the ability to conduct occasional field service calls.
