Overview
Clean, inspect, assemble / disassemble, pressure test, paint Hot Tapping & Plugging (HT&P) equipment and equipment set-up for HT&P applications.
Responsibilities
- Complete and becomes competent in all new employee training and mechanic HT&P pre-learning training assignments as listed in the Mechanic Advancement Program (MAP).
- Complete all required HSE training courses (i.e. OSHA 10, Forklift, Smith Driving, Rigging & Crane operation) and applicable to operation of tools, shop equipment and facility requirements
- Maintains clean, orderly work area and observes company housekeeping rules and completes all shop HSE inspection requirements.
- Follow established procedures for reporting, documenting and computer data entry towards maintaining the operational readiness and location of all HT&P equipment.
- Clean and inspect equipment for damage or wear in accordance with established quality control and maintenance procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Vo-Tech mechanic training or previous mechanical position.
- Aptitude to learn and understand hydraulic equipment, such as pumps, motors, control valves, etc.
- Computer basic skills is required.
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
- Requires some heavy lifting, to be performed in accordance with TDW safety requirements.
- May be required to carry cell phone
