Job Title: Electronics Assembler
Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm
Location: Rancho Cordova
Start: ASAP
$18-20/hr + weekly pay + benefits offered + sick time

Job Overview:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks to build and assemble basic units such as power supplies, modules, chassis, cable harnesses, PCBs, and electronic subassemblies. Responsibilities include soldering and de-soldering through-hole and surface-mount components, as well as installing and removing discrete components like resistors, capacitors, transistors, and transformers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions to assemble electronic components with general supervision.
- Interpret and work from schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material to assemble products accurately.
- Select and mount components (e.g., transistors, resistors, capacitors, ICs) onto circuit boards and chassis using hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic test instruments.
- Install component leads onto printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and route wires as necessary.
- Position and align parts using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
- Secure parts by crimping, soldering, screwing, bolting, or using similar methods.
- Perform basic assembly tasks, including potting, encapsulating, sanding, and bonding, as needed.
- Adjust components for correct electrical or dimensional specifications.
- Conduct hand soldering using traditional soldering irons, and occasionally under a microscope.
- Perform go/no-go testing to ensure assembly quality and conformance to production standards.
- Troubleshoot, rework, and repair defective units as needed.
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and materials to meet cleanliness standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production, logs, and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some vocational or technical training preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in electronics assembly or a related field.
- Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions, troubleshoot basic assembly issues, and work with small hand tools and soldering equipment.
