We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will assemble machinery and components while using your technical expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and Interpreting Blueprints and Schematics : Understand and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions for machinery and components.
- Assembling Components : Fit, align, and secure various mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, and other machinery.
- Quality Checks : Inspect assembled machinery to ensure it meets quality and performance standards using measuring instruments and tests.
- Troubleshooting and Adjustments : Identify and correct issues during assembly, making adjustments to parts or replacing faulty components.
- Documentation : Record assembly processes, parts used, time spent, and any issues encountered for quality control.
- Following Safety Procedures : Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborating with Team Members : Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient assembly.
- Maintaining Tools and Equipment : Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained, clean, and calibrated for effective use.
- Conducting Functional Tests : Test machinery after assembly to ensure it meets performance specifications.
- Handling and Storing Parts : Organize and manage parts to ensure efficient workflow and prevent damage.
- Continuous Improvement : Provide feedback on processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience in machine building.
- Strong mechanical blueprint reading skills.
- Troubleshooting experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Technical education (2-year degree or bachelor’s degree).
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Stockroom experience (understanding parts management and organization).
