Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Technician for a technology company in Rochester Hills, MI. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of assembling and integrating advanced equipment, requiring a strong mechanical aptitude and a focus on precision. Longevity in this role is valued, as your expertise will contribute to long-term success and innovation. Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr depending on experience. Hours: 8-10 hour day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the assembly, integration, and testing of complex machinery and capital equipment at our facility, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately build and troubleshoot machinery.
- Work closely with engineering teams, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements in equipment design and functionality.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment at client locations, ensuring a smooth transition from the shop to the field.
- Maintain and organize assembly tools and work areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to manage the shipment and delivery of completed equipment to customer sites in line with project schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential process enhancements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and in the field, collaborating with other departments to resolve challenges effectively.
- Build long-term, reliable relationships within the team to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, or related fields, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, depending on project needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
