Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer II

JOB DESCRIPTION
This engineering role will be supporting our PFAS project team. The primary responsibility will be supporting CAD work. This includes updating and redesigning drawings and models to accommodate PFAS material changes. This person will also work with other engineers and technicians to support validation activities related to these design changes.
Top 3 technical skills that are required for the role:
Proven CAD experience (preferably Creo)
GD&T experience
Experience with injection molding in the medical device industry highly desired
What are the 3-4 main responsibilities/day to day activities that the contractor would be responsible for:
Working with cross function PFAS team as Design Subject Matter Expert
Updating CAD models and drawings for PFAS changes
Troubleshooting design issues and providing solutions
Coordinating validation activities with technicians and engineers
Education Required: BS or MS in Engineering with design experience
Years’ Experience Required: 2+ years
Will the contractor be working 40 hours a week? If not, weekly estimate? 40 hours per week
Does this position require the candidate to be onsite or remote, if hybrid what does the onsite vs remote schedule look like? Onsite at Brooklyn Park facility
What is your timeline for scheduling interviews? ASAP

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs. May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires a University Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
