We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our Mason, Ohio team.
Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer you will participate in projects involving failure analysis, design/process optimization, product development and cost reduction. Responsibilities will include working through all aspects of the product development process including requirements definition, conceptualization, design, implementation, test, and documentation.
This individual must have experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team that may include contracted and vendor resources and experience with formal engineering development processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET accredited school required
- 2 years of experience with formal engineering development processes
- Must be highly innovative with the ability to work on own initiative
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must have the ability and desire to be client-facing
Preferred:
- MS in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks experience a plus)
- Knowledge of and experience with GD&T
- Data Analysis experience using Minitab, JMP, R, Python, etc.
- Test Fixture design and development experience
- DFM and DFA knowledge and experience
- Fundamentals in first principle mechanics knowledge
- Understanding of materials (polymers, metals, etc.)
- Programming experience (Matlab, Python, C++, etc.)
