Responsibilities
+ Using Solidworks, concept, design, and build automation equipment.
+ Work as part of a team using critical thinking skills to develop new machine platforms.
+ Provide mechanical installation support and technical expertise throughout project.
+ Work unsupervised in the assembly, set-up, and integration of automation equipment as needed.
+ Optimize performance of automated equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells.
+ Work with vendors on project requirements and establish equipment specifications.
+ Collaborate on training instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation.
+ Participate in all aspects of safety, costs savings, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
+ Adhere to all Berry Global, industry, and / or regulatory procedures
Qualifications
+ Minimum 1 year mechanical design experience with strong Solidworks experience.
+ Strong project management, organization, and problem solving skills
+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and with others.
+ Ability to work at continuously varying heights for an 8 hour shift and lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills.
+ Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
