Mechanical Designer/Drafter (Kennesaw, GA)

Selectek has a contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join with a family-oriented manufacturing company in Kennesaw, GA.

In this role, you will:

• Utilize your CAD expertise (SolidWorks preferred) to create detailed and accurate production drawings, including layouts, assemblies, and detail views.
• Collaborate effectively with sales and manufacturing to ensure designs meet customer needs and production capabilities.
• Apply your knowledge of drafting techniques, design principles, and basic mathematical calculations to complete drawings efficiently.
• Revise existing drawings as needed.

To be successful, you should:

• Have 1-5 years of experience using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Possess 1-5 years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Be a team player with a collaborative spirit.
• Be able to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess general computer skills.

Bonus points for:

• Experience in the awning and canopy industry.
• Understanding of building materials and common manufacturing processes.
