Mechanical Designer- Phoenix Products at Ring Power corporation

Primary Job Role

Provides mechanical & electrical & hydraulic engineering designs in support of the manufacture and production of the company’s products as well as research and development of available technologies and potential new product lines.

Evaluates and designs of mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment incorporated in existing or new product lines.

Investigates and evaluates existing technologies for application to product design, development and manufacture of existing and new products.

Researches and developments of potential product lines or enhancements to existing products.

Coordinates and reviews vendor activities to support product manufacture and development. Maintains compliance standards, such as ANSI A92.2 and B25.5.

Works together with and sometimes leads other design engineers.

Works proficiently with Solidworks 2D & 3D Mechanical Desktop software to develop customer submittal, concept, and manufacturing drawings to support the company’s customer requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Formal Education Bachelor's Degree in a related area of study

Experience 1-2 years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Pro?cient in Solidworks or Inventor Mechanical Desktop 2D AutoCAD, and Excel & Word.

Experience in theory and practice of acoustical design, system noise & vibration control & elimination and acoustical testing procedures.

Ability to lead and work with a team of design engineers.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

Minimum of ?ve (5) years engineering experience with an emphasis in the mechanical & electrical ?eld preferred.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
