We are looking for hire a  Mechanical Drafter  in the  Old Lyme, CT area  for a continuously growing manufacturing company

Pay:  $20-$28/hr

Shift:  8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to join our team. In this role, you will work as a Drafter focusing on creating detailed drawings for sheet metal components using SolidWorks from customer prints to prepare for manufacturing. You will be responsible for various aspects of mechanical design and drafting within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• The Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using Solidworks software, for products from customer prints to prepare for manufacturing.
• The Drafter will be responsible for reviewing engineering drawings prior to release.
• The Drafter must consult with engineers and other technical personnel to interpret design specifications and to take direction to research drawings, catalogs, and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned Solidworks drawings.
• The Drafter must develop accurate layouts, flats and assembly drawings and details.
• Must maintain accurate records of design and drafting processes.
• Must collaborate with other team members to ensure the consistency and quality of design and drafting and ensure that they meet the desired specifications.

Qualifications:

• Must have SolidWorks Sheetmetal package experience and proficiency. Additional exp. in AutoCAD is a plus.
• Must be able to create Solidworks drawings, sketches, and diagrams from verbal and written instructions.
• MS Excel experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to analyze drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards and specifications.
