Mechanical Engineer - Avero

Our customer in Benton Harbor, MI is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team that has experience with, or is interested in, a dedicated design role for production machines and can make improvements or adjustments to existing projects. Someone that has had direct exposure to mechanical design engineering or project engineering in that capacity would work perfectly but we are also open to exploring this opportunity with less experience or a recent grad who would like to get into this type of a career. 

• A Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer who can be responsible for the design and documentation of a production machine.
• Works with marketing, management, service and customers for the concept of new machines and improvements to existing machines.
• Responsible for the entire mechanical design of machines: assembly drawings, detail drawing, saw lists and purchased bill of materials.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel. Must also be proficient in Autodesk Autocad 2d and Inventor 3d.
• Works with the electrical engineers to determine the proper electrical components, controls and logic sequence required for the proper function of the machine.
• Writes an operations and maintenance manual for each machine.
• Maintains all documentation for each machine.
• May be required to travel for some installations and customer service on the machine as well as training the service department so they can do installations and service on the machine.
