We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will be a key player in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems within our construction projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential buildings to large-scale commercial properties. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world construction scenarios. This is an ideal role for an individual who is looking to apply their technical skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement mechanical systems for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
2. Utilize software such as AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed 3D models and blueprints of mechanical systems.
3. Conduct load calculations to ensure that mechanical systems are designed and installed correctly.
4. Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, boilers, and compressors.
5. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that all mechanical systems are integrated seamlessly into construction projects.
6. Conduct inspections and tests of mechanical systems to ensure that they are operating efficiently and safely.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and construction technology.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
4. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
5. Experience with load calculations and the design and installation of mechanical equipment such as pumps, boilers, and compressors.
6. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and adhering to industry regulations.
