Job Summary:
Join our team as an Engineer in the laboratory automation space, where you will be responsible for designing, calculating, building, and testing various hardware components. You will utilize your expertise in safety protocols, project management, fabrication print best practices, 3D printing, and proficiency with necessary hand tools to contribute to the development of cutting-edge laboratory automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Research products online and provide CAD drawings
- Write technical documents such as assembly instructions, bill of materials, machine shop prints, and presentations
- Assist in assembling prototypes and running tests
- Participate in design reviews
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers locally and remotely to build laboratory automation systems
- Work independently and with project teams at the Chesterfield, MO campus
- Coordinate with engineers, maintenance teams, scientists, machine shop personnel, carpenters, electricians, technicians, and vendors
- Maintain high levels of meticulousness and organizational skills
