About the Job
Our client is renewable energy start-up in NYC and is looking for a Mechanical Engineer, Compressor Technology to join their close-knit team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130,000 – $160,000
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer, Compressor Technology will be responsible for building and troubleshooting compressors in air capture-to fuels-units
This Mechanical Engineer, Compressor Technology role does require previous hands-on experience with compressor systems.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer, Compressor Technology:
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of compression technology
Build and troubleshoot compressors
Create CAD drawings for components of machines
Manage the connections between system components, especially handling pressure and temperature effectively
Collaborate with other engineers and members of the R&D team
Manage communication and assessment of potential suppliers
Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer, Compressor Technology:
3+ years of experience with compressors
Strong CAD and SolidWorks experience
Ability to work onsite 5 days a week
Excellent communication skills
Experience with Design for Manufacturing is preferred
Education Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related science, or equivalent work experience is required
