Mechanical Engineer - Experis

Our client, a leading manufacturer of machine tools, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Machine Design Team supporting the design manager. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Davis, California

Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000

What's the Job?

• Engage in base design and customizing the machine tools to meet customer specifications
• Design, layout, test, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems
• Perform product development activities including definition, interpretation, and implementation of design specifications and documentation requirements
• Design assembly jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machine tool production plant
• Prepare and present in regular design reviews with team members and management staff to ensure a high-quality design

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least two (2) years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of fundamental manufacturing and Mechanical design
• Ability to design, model, and draft parts and assemblies using 3D CAD & PDM software (PTC Creo, Windchill preferred)
• Hands-on work experience with various mechanical systems is a plus
