Key Responsibilities
- Design & Develop Equipment
- Create and refine mechanical systems focusing on automation, structural, and industrial solutions.
- Project Management
- Lead projects from concept through execution, managing third-party vendors for equipment design, installation, and startup.
- Field Work & Documentation
- Take precise field measurements and document all engineering processes, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with different teams (automation, production, quality assurance) to integrate designs seamlessly into operations.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and safety, automate manual processes, and optimize mechanical operations.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design of industrial automation, motors, HVAC, and other systems; and machine or manufacturing system construction & installation project management
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Understanding cross-functional team collaboration is essential.
- Project Experience
- Proven experience managing mechanical installations, equipment sizing, and working with third-party vendors for design and controls.
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred) and experience in drawing inspections and construction scheduling.
