Immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer (Entry-Level) in Gardena, CA who possesses:
- S or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- D CAD Design/ Design Experience, school experience accepted
- 1-2 years Mechanical Engineering experience but entry level ok
FULL DESCRIPTION: Manage, create and develop new products, documents and continually improve current products and literature as directed. Assist in the design and development of new products by creating 3D models, performance testing, Bill of Materials (BOM) and production ready assembly drawings as necessary. Interact with end users to resolve technical issues and assist production issues at the factory. Assist in evaluating technical documents and in creating quotations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
- Recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
- Developing and testing models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification
- Manage, design and develop new product documents for all products and accessories as required by the senior Engineers.
- Manage PDM and set policies and guidelines for filing and data creation and acquisition of Engineering and production documents, including, but not limited to BOMs and Item Master part numbers.
- Create detailed SOP for Engineering Change Notices and process flow.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team to continually update Engineering and marketing documents.
- Collaborate with production team to continually improve existing production drawings as required.
- Provide support to customer service as required for higher level technical questions and quotations.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Other duties as assigned.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Engineering and Technology -- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
- Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Design -- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Should be capable of preparing technical reports on product performance capabilities and reliability. Participates in preparation of technical bulletins, instruction manuals, or reports
- Physics -- Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic and sub- atomic structures and processes
- Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Understanding of the principles of engineering, physics and math as it applied to air moving or mechanical designs. The ability to work independently and to create innovative and new products as it applies to our current industry demands
- 2-3 Years of design experience
- Inventor Mechanical and/or AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred
- Experience in designing and working with sheet metal fabrications
- ETL, UL, CSA, and/or NEC knowledge preferred.
- Electrical knowledge - high voltage, 1 Phase/3 Phase power, basics of electrical components such as transformer, relay, contactor and ability to understand wiring diagrams preferred
Salary Range: $65k-$75k/yr
