Selectek is partnering with a company in northern Houston, Texas to hire a Mechanical Designer. This company specializes in HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems for large-scale projects; candidates will need a strong HVAC design background.
Employment Type: Permanent Hire
Expected Pay Range: $70,000-$100,000 depending on experience and certification
Location: northern Houston, Texas
Job Duties: Candidates will designing HVAC systems for commercial, hospitality and mixed-use buildings. This role will require knowledge of ductwork and piping design, equipment selection and construction administration. Candidates will also need to perform calculations for heat/loss gains and adhere to local building codes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- EIT or PE preferred
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Schedule: Two days working from home, three days in office. Fridays are half-days. Mondays are required in-office days for the whole team.
