Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Industry - Base Salary to 80k/year - Franklin Lakes, NJ

• Our client, an expert in energy efficiency and a wholesaler/distributor of HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment for over 98 years is looking for an exceptional candidates with experience in the HVAC industry.
• Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will have the opportunity to design cutting-edge heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze construction drawings, diagrams, and blueprints for upcoming building projects.
• Create new designs for ductwork and piping systems.
• Determine ventilation needs based on the specific system requirements.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to design heating and cooling systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to develop innovative HVAC system design concepts.
• Work closely with engineers to design specifications for advanced HVAC control systems
• Calculate energy losses for commercial buildings, identifying opportunities for HVAC system upgrades for energy efficiency
• Conduct on-site energy assessments for large international clients,
• Develop and optimize mechanical designs using AutoCAD software to enhance project efficiency and reduce costs.
• Research HVAC systems to determine most efficient units for upcoming projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (1+ years) in HVAC design, installation, and project management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration technologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Experience with energy modeling, load calculations, and system optimization for commercial and industrial buildings.
