External :
Contribute to a team implementing advanced manufacturing techniques to build industry leading printheads and optimizing printhead design for improved performance. Design, analyze, and assemble tooling fixtures to facilitate efficient product builds and ergonomic safety. Lead new product builds through the factory and support testing to validate designs and manufacturability.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Join a team producing industry leading inkjet printheads and systems. Perform design and analysis to further advance and optimize performance. Participate in new product builds and drive testing to validate designs.

EXPERIENCE | Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the design and manufacture of custom inkjet printheads and systems.
- Use CAD to create solid models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Plan, design, and implement new tests, equipment, and procedures under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform data analysis using statistical software packages to analyze, correlate, and report results.
- Seek opportunities to enhance printhead design, tooling systems, manufacturing processes, plant capacity, and safety.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of test processes, incorporating input from relevant sources when determining procedures.
- Write and present reports to engineering teams.
- Organize and catalog test result data for future reference.
- May support asset utilization and capacity planning.
- May train technicians to implement new and revised procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience or equivalent experience
- Design experience using 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks, and GD&T
- Ability to problem-solve using scientific methods and engineering principles to arrive at practical solutions
- High level of creativity
- Self-motivated and eager to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
- Willingness to be mentored by senior engineers
- Comprehensive written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with peers and project teams
- Ability to work and multi-task across several functional departments or across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with DFM
- Experience using statistics and statistical tools (Minitab).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
DESIRED:
- Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical assembly methods, machine design requirements, and process tooling design
- Database, VBA experience
- Inkjet experience
