Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and sub-assemblies for automotive and medical device products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to create innovative and manufacturable designs.
- Perform CAD modeling and simulations using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software to ensure the mechanical integrity of designs.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, system requirements, and documentation for product development and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct mechanical testing and validation to ensure designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, automotive standards).
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality production and assembly processes, including the creation of design validation reports and the implementation of design changes.
- Identify opportunities for product optimization and cost reduction without compromising quality or performance.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues, particularly in medical device production environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, ensuring adherence to quality systems and engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 0- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in both the automotive and medical device industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD).
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), product testing, and validation, with an understanding of industry standards such as ISO, FDA, and automotive regulations.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and injection molding.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control practices relevant to both the automotive and medical device sectors.
