Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. This person will design and develop electro-mechanical and hydraulic components and systems for the trimming of power boats. This person will provide Mechanical engineering support for the development of integrated boat control systems, fuel system products.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead the development of components for electromechanical and hydraulic systems for underwater use
- Design of test methods and specifications for evaluation of new products from proof of concept through final design
- Support the development and testing of integrated trim control systems for power boats
- Develop and maintain component, product, and process specifications for new products
- Sustaining engineering for existing product lines
- Travel required to YMC, suppliers and test sites
- Technical support to suppliers and factories
- Interface with testing team for on-water testing and verification of product performance
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering or Navel Architecture
- 2-5 years' experience in the design of consumer products including electronics packaging
- Design of injection-molded and machined components
- Highly skilled with SolidWorks
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Desirable qualifications:
- Hydraulic pump design
- Fluid flow measure
- Fuel system design and testing
- Boating experience
- Project management including project scope/outline & estimation
- Good understanding of DC circuits and logic
