Job Description

• Develop products from concept to manufacturing.
• Design and analyze mechanical parts and systems, focusing on precision optical systems.
• Manage complex assemblies in SolidWorks, integrating electromechanical solutions.
• Create test plans, reports, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other stakeholders for tightly integrated solutions.
• Work with external resources, including engineering consultants, vendors, and test labs.
• Support manufacturing by creating fixtures for testing and production.
• Perform thermal analysis, stress-strain evaluation, and statistical tolerance analysis.

Qualifications:

• Education: BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in designing precision optical systems and working with opto-mechanical components.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and familiarity with CAE tools (for thermal dissipation, stress, strain, and impact analysis).
• Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
