Mechanical Engineer (MEP) - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek needs a Mechanical Engineer for a partnering client near Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates will need a strong background in HVAC and plumbing system design for large-scale projects. This client is moving quickly to interview candidates with their desired skills and characteristics. 

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$124,000 per hour depending on experience and background
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PE or EIT certification
- Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical system design/coordination
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Proficiency in HVAC and plumbing design 

Job Duties:
- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems including refrigeration, chilled water, hot water, and airflow systems
- Perform load calculations and feasibility assessments of proposed projects
- Troubleshoot existing mechanical systems
- Estimate costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to complete projects
- Create engineering drawings and specifications for plumbing and fire protection if necessary
- Subcontract specialized craftwork where required
- Recommend improvements or upgrades to design where required
