Mechanical Engineer - Elgin Separation Solutions

Experienced Mechanical Engineer with an emphasis in manufacturing processes. Responsible for the design, documentation, assembly, testing, and support of the company projects and products in accordance with general design requirements. You will design and develop solid controls equipment, assemblies, and components and formulate the detailed design.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification.
• Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures and provide technical information.
• Research and modify current practices in the Screen Production Department.
• Specify design components or direct modification of screens to ensure conformance with performance specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years' experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Able to create 2-D drawings and 3-D in SolidWorks.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (EPICOR experience a plus).
• A strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork.
• Team player with the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced business environment and to meet aggressive timelines.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
