Mechanical Engineer, Turbine Design/Analysis - Independent Contractor

We are looking for talented freelance mechanical engineers to work on various turbomachinery projects. The focus is on design and structural analysis of various gas turbine components using Pro/E and ANSYS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support gas turbine new product development activities.
• Design, analysis, and development of gas turbine components
• Utilize mechanical design and analysis techniques including stress analysis, dynamic, heat transfer, fracture mechanics and life prediction
• Validate mechanical design efforts through various analysis techniques

REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in FEA meshing, finite element structural/thermal analysis using ANSYS
• Knowledge of engineering principals, theories, and concepts of mechanical design as applied to gas turbines is a plus
• 5 years experience in the design process and/or conducting engineering analyses in the gas turbine or similar industry
• Proficiency in Pro-E is preferred
