Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Pay Rate: Up to $76.82/hr DoE Location: Wilsonville, OR Zip Code: 97070Schedule: Onsite Start Date: Right AwayJob Type: ContractKeywords: #MechanicalDesignEngineer #AerospaceAvionicsIndustryJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for leading a mechanical engineering team in the redesign of Head Up Guidance Systems cast aluminum chassis components.* Responsible for technical leadership of less experienced mechanical engineers, peer review of engineering work, task assignment, and reporting of status on all associated tasks* Work with Project Engineer to coordinate assignments and activities.* Technical review of sub tier supplier hardware in accordance with engineering requirements* Assign, review, and approve engineering drawing updates.* Present project status and team progress during leadership reviewsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card Holder * Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred OR * Equivalent STEM degree with sufficient experience * 6+ years of engineering design is required.* Experience in an engineering lead position is required* Advanced skill with mechanical drawing GD&T is required* Ability to read and interpret prints per ASME Y14.5* Experience working within the guidelines a quality management system* Experience with aluminum castings is highly preferred.* Experience working in a quality-controlled environment is a desiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Knowledge of investment casting processes and machining processes* Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems, including but not limited to SAP* Ability to lead collaborative teams on tactical and strategic discussions to drive a results and breakdown barriers* Experience working in a fast-paced environmentIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
