Dewberry has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern - Plumbing/Fire Protection to join the Raleigh, NC office in Summer 2025.

Responsibilities:- Work with a project team and assist in the design of building systems (HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing) and life safety plans.
- May also assist with the design and specifications of system layouts, load calculations, hydraulic calculations, sizing and selecting equipment, ductwork and piping design and editing of specifications.
- Prepare design documents using ACAD/BIM in accordance with Dewberry standards.
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET accredited university is required.
- Previous relevant internship experience preferred.
- Must possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is a plus.

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
