The mechanical engineering intern will work closely with the engineering team to complete modifications to existing equipment or to work through future improvements to equipment. Intern will gain knowledge of a variety of mechanical mechanisms and their usage in the construction industry for manufacturing truss’s.
Core Responsibilities:
Complete design changes using Creo. Consult with sourcing, production or service to communicate changes desired and receive feedback. Gain familiarity with our product line and understanding of the operation of the various equipment we produce. Start by completing simple design tasks and build towards more complex tasks as understanding and experience improves. Tasks may consist of product design, modifications to existing equipment or working with production to assist with fixturing.
Expected Learnings:
Understanding of production processes. Understanding of the usage of pneumatics, servo controls, safety mechanisms and a basic understanding of how they integrate with a control system. Basic understanding of how our customers utilize our equipment and what features of our equipment help them increase their productivity and/or efficiency.
Qualifications- Rising Senior - Expected Graduation Dec 2025 - May 2026
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field
- Knowledge and application of design, engineering and technology, computers and electronics, technology design, and problem solving.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and /or SolidWorks CADD software.
