About the Job
Prepare statements of work to support procurement activities, as needed
• Prepare procedures and work plans for completing assigned tasks which may include field inspections and tests, or the fabrication, installation modification for mechanical systems and components
• Initiate required site permits and support completion of Job Hazards Analyses
• Assist supervisors and lead technicians in pre-job worker orientation, briefing and training
• Provide oversight and technical direction to safely accomplish assigned tasks, including the identification and resolution of problems observed in the field
• Create or initiate engineering designs to resolve problems arising during the completion of assigned tasks including their execution in accordance with configuration management process (e.g. Engineering Change Notices)
• Review and provide the administrated close-out of completed tasks
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years + experience in construction, operations or maintenance at commercial nuclear power plants or research laboratories in the Department of Energy complex
