About the Job
The Mechanical General Superintendent coordinates and manages superintendents and project teams to complete various projects. This includes scheduling duties and necessary resources, performing inspections to determine and assure quality control and safety compliance, maintaining project schedule and budget, and serving as a liaison between the field and office staff.

Essential Functions
- Manage superintendents, field supervisors, and project teams.
- Assure quality of work by conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments.
- Plan, schedule, and ensure that teams work in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
- Ensure projects maintain schedule and budget, including hours, materials, and additional resources.
- Serve as liaison between the field and office, communicating important information to key project and management personnel.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with labor organizations, field personnel, and warehouse/logistics personnel to enhance and maximize performance and execution of project installations.
- Oversee the administration of quality assurance and controls.
- Manage customer expectations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Manage project challenges and resolve these issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Drive enforcement of safety protocols in the field.
- Develop high-performance teams for field supervision and installation support through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Understand, embrace, and embody the CSI culture of training, supporting, and developing employees to reach their highest potential.
- Ensure operational feedback is shared with office staff, including but not limited to timely completion of employee performance evaluations, job cost impacts, means and methods of installations used, installation rates, job challenges, etc.
- Review and supervise field costs, including but not limited to tools, safety, vehicles, jobsite expenses, field payroll, and training.
- Provide oversight and financial review support of field-related expenses.
- Support and help drive utilization of various CSI initiatives and technologies.
- Review labor status reports and costs required to track the progress of each project as necessary to support project management job projections.
- Function as liaison with the client when needed to facilitate construction challenges, including but not limited to scheduling, man-loading, and trade coordination.
- Investigate any and all potentially serious field-related situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Safety Director.
- Protect the company’s interest and build/maintain strong relationships to ensure group longevity, and growth, and success.
- Identify project fit and allocate appropriate field staffing resources across all projects.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in EPC structural/mechanical solar.
- Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and means and methods required.
- NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, BOX, Procore, Plan Grid
- Ability to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, Local Union Labor Agreements, and State Compliance Laws/Regulations
- Strong understanding of complex and technical construction and management practices

Physical Demands
- Frequently works outdoors on uneven surfaces.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to stoop, bend, and crouch.
Work Environment
- May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- Frequently works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.
- May occasionally work in areas with hazardous chemicals.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $135,200-$170,560/ year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. CSI reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
