About the Job
Our client is seeking a dedicated 1st Shift and 2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of their automotive manufacturing facility. Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities as directed by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Operate machining equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and bandsaws.
- Perform fabrication projects using welding and bolted assembly techniques.
- Accurately record work activities into the CMMS.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and the maintenance shop, adhering to 5S standards.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with maintenance staff and personnel from other departments.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in completing scheduled tasks.
- Good mechanical aptitude, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of the maintenance organization's role and function within a manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or a minimum of two (2) years of equivalent experience in a relevant field.
