Immediate opening for a Mechanical Operations Manager near Wood Branch DE who possesses:
- Must be properly certificated per FAR Part 65, Airframe & Powerplant licenses
- 10+ years aircraft maintenance/modification experience
- Proficiency in the use of inspection aids, test equipment and techniques to determine quality of airworthiness
- *PREFERRED* Previous experience in aircraft supervisory/management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensure execution of strategic goals; continually and actively seek opportunities to drive continuous improvement and business excellence.
- Assure that maintenance / modification activities are carried out in compliance with the Repair Station Manual, other applicable regulatory, department and company procedures, established work schedules, and within budgetary constraints.
- Be the departmental leader and focal point for coordinating productive activities with management interdepartmentally and with external contacts including customers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor and manage departmental manpower allocation, productivity, utilization, and efficiency; plan and forecast for manpower needs; manage the departmental Hangar Labor Dashboard.
- Manage the departmental procurement process; manage PO requests and the parts request process; ensure all required resources, materials and tooling are identified and available for each job in advance.
- Demonstrate mastery of process standards, engineering drawings and data, AMMs, CMMs, SRMs and AIPCs; train assigned staff in the use of standard data sets.
- Set performance goals and expectations for department; monitor individual performance; complete performance reviews.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hiring, promotion, transfers, terminations, or disciplinary actions.
- Provide technical and non-technical guidance, direction, coaching, and leadership to assigned staff.
- Hold regular staff meetings with subordinates, communicating departmental, production, and company objectives.
- Prepare department for vendor and regulatory audits by ensuring a compliance culture. Manage department non-conformances with immediate containment, root cause analysis and provide effective corrective actions.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, provide input during the bidding and proposal processes for maintenance, interior and other modification projects; based on historical data, prepare bid data to include manpower (hours), material resources and other indirect costs.
- Responsible for administrative duties such as attendance, performance evaluations, incident reports, accident reports, etc.
