This includes defining work steps, estimating labor, material, and equipment costs, and assembling job packets for field execution. The role continually improves job plans based on feedback from execution teams, with a focus on mechanical work.

This includes defining work steps, estimating labor, material, and equipment costs, and assembling job packets for field execution. The role continually improves job plans based on feedback from execution teams, with a focus on mechanical work.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or related manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with various mechanical systems, equipment, and crafts, and an understanding of maintenance work processes.
- Knowledge of maintenance scheduling, with the ability to procure and expedite materials and resources.
- Skilled in managing non-routine and emergency activities, such as plant shutdowns, start-ups, and schedule breakers.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and high-quality standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with SAP is required.
- Demonstrated competencies in analytical thinking, quality orientation, business acumen, teamwork, work management, communication, customer focus, and strategic thinking.
- Manage Unplanned Work Backlog:
- Review and prioritize the backlog and planning list.
- Clarify incomplete or unclear work notifications and group work orders for efficient execution.
- Determine the necessary level of planning and utilize SAP status codes to ensure proper scheduling.
- Work Order Planning:
- Create job plans with detailed scopes, step sequences, labor/material requirements, tools, and equipment needed.
- Identify permitting and isolation requirements, and develop task lists for recurring jobs.
- Generate purchase requisitions for materials and services, and forward job packages to the scheduler.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to update job plans and task lists based on feedback, maintaining spare parts inventory and bill of materials.
- Turnaround Planning:
- Develop job plans for turnaround projects, specifying job scopes, labor, materials, and required tools.
- Coordinate with the turnaround group on scheduled jobs and ensure the timely procurement of materials.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously enhance job plans through collaboration with supervisors, engineers, and execution teams.
- Analyze feedback from work crews to capture efficiencies and improvements.
- Maintain and update task lists and job plan libraries based on job feedback.
- Emergency Support:
- Assist with critical or emergency jobs by expediting materials and coordinating resources.
- Provide non-standard support as directed by supervisors.
- Work Environment:
- Collaborates with peers, technicians, and supervisors to execute plans. Escalates conflicts that cannot be resolved with facts or data.
- Business Environment:
- Applies standard procedures to solve problems and suggests improvements.
- Internal and External Relationships:
- Responsible for leading virtual teams, managing vendor meetings, contractors, budgets, and processes. Acts as a subject matter expert and leads teams when necessary.
