Selectek needs a Mechanical Process Engineer for a partnering client near Kennesaw, Georgia (northern Atlanta). Candidates will need a strong background in process piping for steam and power generation plant projects. This client is moving quickly to interview candidates with their desired skills and characteristics!
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$135,000 annual salary, depending on experience and background
Location: Kennesaw, Georgia
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of design and construction experience in steam and power generation
- Background working for EPC firms
- Experience with general arrangement drawings and P&IDs
- Design of piping systems adherent to ASME Section 1 B31.1 or B31.3 codes
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate engineering for steam and power generation projects
- Write equipment specifications for pumps, piping systems, boilers, heat exchangers, compressed air systems, and turbine generators
- Develop heat and material balances
- Troubleshoot and propose upgrades for existing systems
- Maintain pipe line lists, valve lists, and specialty items lists
- Conduct project site visits
- Research code issues
