Mechanical Project Engineer - Gpac

A very reputable Engineering firm is hiring for a Mechanical Project Engineer that will work hand in hand with the mechanical engineers and act as their support staff. You will ultimately be helping with design/drafting but will also have the chance to be exposed to and work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment, dive into helping project teams in the production of engineering drawings and project documents. They are looking for individuals' who have a passion and strong commitment to design excellence. Their portfolio consists of some of the most prominent Healthcare/laboratory/research work, as well as some airport, education, retail, corporate Office and other large commercial project types.

Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Possesses a professional attitude showing interest in the companies reputation and growth.
• A fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the area of his assignment.
• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, adoption and modifications of standard techniques and procedures.
• Works with the Principal, Associate or Project Manager to finalize Project Scope and Schedule of deliverables and understands priorities identified.
• In addition to duties of project engineer/project designer.
• Applies advanced practices and techniques, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies and follows projects through program, schematic, design development, construction document, bidding and construction phases. 
• Supervises, coordinates and reviews work, schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates.
• Develop reports, studies and system analysis.
• Works in an efficient an effective manor and makes good decisions.
• Evaluate application of substitute equipment.
• Review final adjustment of equipment and systems after installation.
• Write or contact client directly except in controversial matters.
• Can represent the firm at meetings and cover all trades, which may require further follow through.
• Is assisted on projects by other Engineers and/or Designers.
• Estimates manpower needs and schedules and assigns work to meet completion date and updates the project manager as to status and resources available.
• Mentor and train younger engineers and designers.
• schematic design, design development, and construction documents
• AutoCAD, Revit A Must
• P.E. Licensed Strongly Preferred 
• Spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems
• Site condition surveys
• Using technology and methodologies to create innovative approaches to building design
• Providing any support and assistance to other engineers and members of the project team

Mechanical Project Engineer Qualifications:

• Preferably has a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing.
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
• Eight years of experience in responsible charge of project design in respective discipline plus advanced courses, training program or seminars relating to Engineering and Management.
