Role Overview: As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, design, and management of all mechanical aspects of our LNG projects. This includes liquefaction, storage, truck transfer, and vaporization of LNG. You will work closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, be self-disciplined, and manage multiple project assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and manage mechanical systems for LNG projects.
- Report weekly on project status, budget, and schedule to project managers.
- Author design, procurement, and operations specifications for equipment and systems.
- Commission and troubleshoot LNG plant startup and operations in the field.
- Conduct systematic analysis of piping systems including pipe sizing, pipe stress analysis, pressure vessel/equipment nozzle evaluation, vapor dispersion, and thermal radiation analysis.
- Review and develop calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions, and drawings.
- Develop mechanical design documentation including but not limited to Valve Lists, Line Lists, Pipe specifications, insulation specifications, and coating specifications.
- Maintain technical proficiency and code knowledge in the LNG field (49CFR193, NFPA 59A, ASME B31.3, BPVC Section VIII).
- Develop cost estimates and proposals in collaboration with a team.
- Work with designers and a diverse engineering team to create drawings for the fabrication and construction of plant piping and equipment systems.
- Travel to project sites approximately 15-20% of the time.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Hands-on experience installing, operating, or troubleshooting any equipment in any industry.
- A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of engineering experience.
Helpful Skills, but Not Required:
- Experience in designing cryogenic, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power systems.
- Previous experience specifying pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, heaters, coolers, boilers, or pressure vessels.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
