We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the construction industry, leading the mechanical aspects of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical project management, from design to implementation, with a particular focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of mechanical construction projects from initiation to completion.
2. Coordinate and oversee the design, planning, and implementation of HVAC systems in line with project specifications and guidelines.
3. Work closely with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
4. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
5. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, and provide regular updates to senior management.
6. Manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans to address them.
7. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate these into project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Mechanical Project Manager role will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on mechanical systems.
2. Proven experience in managing the design and implementation of HVAC systems.
3. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
4. Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices, and the ability to apply these to complex construction projects.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver high-quality results.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make effective decisions under pressure.
8. Proficiency in project management software and tools, and the ability to use these to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
9. A commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of promoting these within a project environment.
10. A professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) would be an advantage.
