About the Job
Selectek needs a Mechanical Engineer for a partnering client near Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates will need a strong background in HVAC design for large-scale projects. This client is moving quickly to interview candidates with their desired skills and characteristics!
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Expected Salary Range: $36-$41 per hour depending on experience and background
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical system design/coordination
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Proficiency in HVAC design
Job Duties:
- Primarily supervising construction and installation/commissioning of systems
- Designing HVAC systems including refrigeration, chilled water, hot water, and airflow systems
- Perform load calculations and feasibility assessments of proposed projects
- Troubleshoot existing mechanical systems
- Estimate costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to complete projects
- Create engineering drawings and specifications for plumbing and fire protection if necessary
- Subcontract specialized craftwork where required
- Recommend improvements or upgrades to design where required
