**Superintendent Responsibilities:**
As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for determining the best means and methods to execute the project, ensuring all work is performed safely, with high quality, and within budget. You will manage field crews, oversee equipment, materials, tools, and manpower needs, and ensure that the project schedule is adhered to. Additionally, you will conduct material takeoffs required for the project and serve as the overall safety lead on-site.
Our superintendents are expected to be tech-savvy, proficient in using Excel, Bluebeam, and creating piping shop drawings/ISOs, whether on a computer or by hand. You will understand the project in-depth, including all construction details, and be responsible for devising safe and efficient methods to complete the job.
Start immediately overseeing this person should have experience working on municipal/public works projects, should have experience working on water/wastewater treatment plants, and should have experience working for a self-performing General Contractor Civil, Structural and Mechanical work.
This person will be assigned to (2) projects in Irvine working at a municipal water treatment plant. One project is 60% complete and involves the construction of a fueling facility (diesel, gas, CNG). The other project is 20% complete and it involves the retrofit and upgrade of the tertiary filters at this water treatment plant.
This is an exempt position, requiring 50-60 hours of work per week on-site, Monday through Friday, with a fixed salary regardless of hours worked.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Superintendent, focusing on public works projects in the water and wastewater municipal sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be based in the Southern California Region
- Relocation assistance is not available.
