In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and installing complex mechanical and electronic systems.
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install automated equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, small power tools, soldering equipment and other special equipment to perform assigned job.
- Follow work instructions and procedures.
- Perform inspection using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers,
height gauges and dial gauges
- Operate forklift.
- Operate crane.
- Operate personal man lift.
Electrical And/or Mechanical
- Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices
- Bend and install rigid conduit up to 3 inch
- Set up and pull wire and cable
- Pneumatic assembly, installation, and trouble shooting.
- Metal Fabrication, Grinding, Welding
- Terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable - Up to 120V
- Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices Up to 120V
- Install and troubleshoot PLC's
- Install and troubleshoot AC, DC Drives, Single and Three Phase motors and motor control systems Up to 120V
Requirements:
- Follow safety and ISO procedures
- "Physical capabilities including sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting to 50 lbs, climb up and down ladders up to 35 feet high repeatedly on a shift. "
- Use computers, email, and cellphone to communicate and manage time card
- Read/comprehend tape measure, blue prints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts
- "Operate, maintain, and work in close proximity to various power equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools and automatic machinery"
- Proficient with the proper use of hand tool and power tools.
- Work from various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders or man-lifts
- Must be to travel to off site work within 60 miles
- May be required up to 30% travel greater than 60 miles
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent
- Vo-Tech/Trade School 1-3 years (Preferred)
- Mechatronics School 1-3 years (Preferred)
Minimum Previous Experience:
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year
