Mechanical Technician-(Medical) at Micro Tech

Be a contributing team member in the design, development and productizing of laser based medical devices. Work under the supervision of mechanical engineers to assemble system prototypes, test fixtures, breadboard test fixtures.. Maintain good lab practices of equipment and tool organization.. Learn and work with the PLM documentation system (Arena). Need some medical experience.

High School or Associates Degree. Hands on experience assembling, building and participating in the evaluation of mechanical systems. Natural hands on skills; a desire to know “how things work". Associate Mechanical Engineering Technician: Minimum one internship semester acting as technician. Mechanical Engineering Technician: 2-3 year’s experience in the work environment. Mechanical Engineering Technician: 5-8 years experience in the work environment. Understanding of machining methods, assembly methods, fasteners, Ability to read assembly drawings and procedures, and help redline as part of prototype development. Willingness to learn and develop additional skills. An interest in creating medical devices that advance medical care. An interest in lasers and optics is desired.
