Your Role at Pura:
We are currently hiring for a mechanical test engineer role at Pura, that will focus on creating the best scenting experience for our customers through excellence in mechanical validation and testing. We are looking for a mechanical engineer with experience in validation and testing for mass production! The manufacturing engineer at Pura will be responsible for testing new products as they go through our development process from engineering to mass production.
You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.
What You’ll Own:
- Test Planning and Development: You will design, plan, and execute mechanical tests for products and components, including stress, fatigue, vibration, thermal, performance, and environmental testing.
- Test Documentation: You will work closely with design engineering and manufacturing to create and document test protocols.
- Reporting: You will create detailed reports documenting test results. You will be responsible for communicating the results and findings with the design engineering team, stakeholders and manufacturing
- Failure Analysis: Investigate product failures, perform root cause analysis, and work with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to understand product requirements and ensure tests align with overall project goals.
- Compliance and Standards: You will be our point person on understanding regulatory testing requirements for our products
- Data Collection and Analysis: Monitor tests, collect and analyze data, and document findings. Identify trends and issues and provide recommendations for product improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven success creating testing protocols that test functionality of new hardware components
- Proven experience communicating test results with stakeholders
- Experience with CAD systems
- Experience in reviewing and understanding technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience with standard engineering documentation practices
- Desire to work together with your team towards a common goal
- Experience in performing FMEA on designs throughout the development stages
