The Mechatronics Engineer supports engineering team on development of technology, equipment, and process knowledge to sustain and improve machine capability to achieve continuous RPD® per approved requirements with high quality and efficient capacity.
In a typical day, your expertise:
- Provides technical support to Operations to maintain RPD® machines' uptime and availability
- Provides technical support to Calibration team to resolve issues with the calibration and maintenance process
- Performs Electrical, Mechanical and Control systems troubleshooting and root cause/corrective action on RPD® machines
- Provides operations and calibration technicians with training on machine function and operational changes to RPD® machines
- Documents and reviews RPD® machine-performance for reliability, functionality, safety, and optimization
- Provides feedback to RPD®-TEC on machine performance, recurring issues, improvements suggestions, etc.
- Supports and implements Engineering Change Requests on the RPD® machine to maintain the released machine configuration
- Implements Test Request in coordination with RPD®-TEC to assist in machine development and troubleshooting
- Assists with RPD® Machine startups, including receiving machine shipments, installations and site acceptance testing following internal processes and procedures
- Reviews and proposes changes to Maintenance, Calibration and Machine Qualification processes documentation for accuracy, optimization, and performance
- Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines
- Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business
We're thrilled to find candidates with:
- BS or MS in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation/Controls Engineering
- Background within a manufacturing function, preferably within a highly automated environment
- 2+ years' Mechatronics Engineering or related experience, industrial controls and networking preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of integrated electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to work with a multicultural, international, and cross functional team
- Fluent mastery of English language

- Structure and accuracy in daily work with ability to multi-task
- Creative aptitude particularly in ability to improve product development and production methods
- Quality and time-oriented with focus on providing consistent work products and completing projects on time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- This position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person or ITAR export license required

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit in front of a computer for 8 or more hours daily
- The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- The ability to travel domestically and internationally by car and plane <5% of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and telephone keypad
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
